You must be 18 or older to use this site. Debates are live video and text with strangers. If you're under 18, don't use it.

• No slurs or hate speech targeting anyone's race, religion, sex, gender, orientation, or disability.
• No targeted harassment or personal attacks. Argue the take, not the person.
• No threats of violence against anyone.
• No sexual content, nudity, or sexual harassment.
• No doxxing — no sharing anyone's address, phone number, workplace, or private info.
• No nudity or illegal activity on camera.
• No impersonating a creator, a pro, or a moderator.
• No spam, scams, or advertising.

Heated disagreement and blunt language are fine. That's the point of the site.

Every debate room has a Report button and a Block button. Reporting sends us the room, the reason, and anything you add. Blocking ends the debate immediately and stops you from being matched with that person again.

An AI moderator also screens chat messages as they're sent. Messages it flags for slurs, harassment, threats, sexual harassment, or doxxing are hidden from the other person and marked in the chat.

We may remove content, end debates, and block accounts or devices for rule-breaking, at our discretion and without notice.

Video and audio are sent directly between the two people in a debate and are not stored by us. Chat messages, fact-checks, and verdicts are saved so scores, recaps, and the leaderboard work.

Anyone in a debate can record a clip of it from their own device, and other people can record their screen at any time. Assume anything you say or show on camera can be saved and shared. Don't say or show anything you wouldn't want made public.

Fact-checks and verdicts are generated by AI using web sources. They can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. They're entertainment and a conversation aid — not professional, legal, medical, or factual advice, and not a statement of fact by us about any person or event.

You are solely responsible for everything you say, type, and show. The Debate Room is a platform that connects two people in real time; we don't pre-screen live video and we don't endorse, verify, or adopt anything a user says.

By using the site you grant us permission to display and store the text, topics, and debate results you create so the product can function.

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any conduct, content, or harm caused by other users — including anything said or shown during a debate.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your use of the site or your violation of these rules.

We may update these rules. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
